Day 2

We started our day off by eating at this cute little cafe that had Christmas and Thanksgiving decorations up while playing old country music.

Then we went to Butler Canyon for a "lovely" (quote from Jeremy) hike!

Aaron couldn't wait until our 1 mile hike was over... you know how they say, "when you gotta go, you gotta go!"
Our version of working out.

It was interesting to see all these trees being cut down. We didn't know what the purpose was.

We had to sign in in case we got lost on our 1 mile hike
After the hike the boys decided to go fly fishing. Larry helped them to learn all the ins and outs of the sport, like if you wave your fishing pole in the air - like we all think you should when you fly fish, it's just a bunch of "Hollywood b.s." (take it up with Larry)

Rach and I decided it would be nice to make some sandwiches for our hard fishing husbands, however they didn't really like them with no mayo or mustard. What can we say, I forgot the condiments. This was Aaron's first and last bite before he told Jeremy that it was nasty and not to eat his.

Ok, so across the lake from us there were 2 really cute kids who kept catching fish, like one right after another, unlike our husbands...a bit of jealousy going on. So after watching them catch them we noticed that the dad had a few fish that weren't moving in his fishing net... This pond is for fly fishing only and it's catch and release. So the dad ducks down below the grass and messes around with the fish. He then proceedes to get up really fast with a grocery bag that's a bit heavy. He walks the long way around the lake to his truck where he and his little accomplices LEAVE!!...with the fish!!!!

CLASSIC JEREMY! CATCHES A DUCK INSTEAD OF A FISH!!!!
Need we say more?
The poor thing was crying and being dragged by it's tongue...we have video proof! Not to mention it's poor friend got caught up in it too with the fishing line around it's neck. It was making this awful noise, like the gagging noise you would make if you were being chocked to death.

We noticed all the female ducks didn't have any feathers on the back of their necks. Then we saw why! Those mean male ducks are "in season" and apparently that means being mean to the one they want to get it on with.

Here we are...old and married...

So don't leave us in suspense, what happened to the duck Jeremy caught?

Duck tongues are a Chinese delicacy. You can probably sell it at the Lee Lee Market.

Tim and Barb, that poor duck can probably only slurp up plankton from the water now because of the hook still in his mouth. Poor thing. We should pray for him.

I still think we should send in the fish steelers license plate to the cops!
