She was pretty excited!

Giraffes for the first time in real life!

I think she was pretty amazed by them. Here she is pointing at them.

Love her.

Looking at the sleeping lions with her Grammy.

Paisley's favorite exhibit...rhinos or "nino" She kept talking about them even after we walked away.

This was also George's first time to the zoo!

Paisley was reading the map (with a hat from last year that's too small) and trying to decide where to go next.

See...Grandpa is just as in awe of the animals as Paisley.

She wasn't quite sure what to think of this monkey. She liked him from afar, but didn't want to get too close to the glass.

Making some kind of animal sound. We didn't even know what kind of animals these were! ha!

Lots of pointing and excitement during this trip!

Paisley and her grandpa...they are so cute together.

She just walked around like she was a big girl.

P and her daddy.

This was funny. You can't see in the picture but there was a camel on the other side of those rocks at the top. She just stopped and bent down to point at them!

Ok, can I just say that the petting zoo is a fraud? By zoo, you would think lots of animals. However, this petting "zoo" only had goats. They should call it "You can pet goats only here."

I wasn't sure how she was going to do up and personal with the goats. But she did really good. She would touch their ears, but only for a second! She gets lots of practice touching Jorge (the Siegele's donkey) so I think she was a little less freaked out.

What would a trip to the zoo be without a bird pooping on you?

Our little family.

P and her grandparents, along with the rhino they bought her.

We are so blessed.

Sleepy girl! She seriously loves this rhino. She held it the whole way home - kissing and hugging it. She is currently taking a nap with it too! Thanks grammy and grandpa!

Great pictures! She is so loved!!!
we loved the phoenix zoo too! i have to agree that going with a curious, awe struck toddler is the most fun zoo trip :)
