Here's a run down of how it all went down...
We had a doctor's appointment on Wednesday (10th) like usual, and since she had not been born yet, they always send their patients to the hospital to have a stress test done, just to make sure the fluids are good and the baby is doing well. So we walked next door to the hospital around 2:30pm. I got hooked up to a monitor and we were only supposed to be there for like 20-30 minutes. Well after the monitoring the nurse came in and said I was having some big contractions and that she was going to call my doctor. The contractions were coming every 2-3 minutes and she said they can't send me home like that. So she calls Dr. Kramer and they decide to keep us there a little longer and keep monitoring me. So back and forth, the contractions never slowed they stayed steady, so they admitted me about 10:30 or 11:00pm.
They started me on Pitocin at 2:00am. Around 6:30 I got an epidural. Which I was so nervous for! I think I was more nervous to get an epidural then have a baby! Around 8:00-8:30am our midwife came in and broke my water. A little bit later they came in and were concerned about her heart rate. They said it would shoot up - to like 200 and then drop to like 80. So they called Dr. Kramer in. She came in and told us that she was concerned and that I may end up having a c-section. She really didn't want me to have one, so she left the room and said she would come back . This happened for a little while (I have lost track of time by now). At 12:30pm she came in and said if I was complete complete then I would have to have the baby right then or I would be going for a c-section right then. Fortunatley I was ready to push. They did have the anesthesiologist in the room just in case her heart didn't do well with the pushing. So at 12:45pm I started pushing. She did so well. Her heart rate stayed good the whole time.
Paisley was born at 1:37pm on Thursday, December 11th (on her due date). She was 6lb 14oz and 19.5" long. She is perfect, healthy, and beautiful. Here are some pictures as proof.
